Pediatric Medical-Surgical Unit: Pediatric patient with complex diagnosis and extensive surgical /treatment background. Conditions included cranial reshaping and mass removals, spinal fusion, new trach placement, genetic disorders, cystic fibrosis, preemies and extensive medication regimes.
Pediatric Cardiothorasic Unit: These patients have chronic heart conditions and/or new cardiac surgery. These include heart transplant, fenestrated/non fenestrated fontans (first performed at U of M), and placement of pacemakers/transducer wires and wound care for these patients. A great deal of education is done with parents and patients with new heart conditions.
Pediatric Oncology-Hematology Unit: Pediatric patients newly diagnosed or currently undergoing treatment for cancer and hematological conditions. I administered oral chemo agents (non-vesicant) and treatment for patients experiencing neutropenia and side effects of chemo. Administered a great deal of blood and platelet transfusion.

Pediatric Medical-Surgical Unit: I worked with many different patients with respiratory distress, gastrointestinal issues and gastrointestinal surgeries. Able to start own IV and appropriate monitoring of signs and symptoms of their conditions.
Maternity (Postpartum, nursery and backing deliveries): Provide appropriate care to mother-baby couplets post-delivery till discharge. This includes vaginal and C-sections. Extensive education on caring for newborns and feeding techniques. Close monitoring of infants for changes in physical health and adjustments to outside life. Trained to back deliveries, infant assessment and medication administrations.
